Bismarck-Henning High to Host “Hoops for the Cure”

The Bismarck-Henning High School Boys Basketball Team will host its annual Breast Cancer Awareness game on Feburary 10, against Milford High School. Come show your support and help paint the gym pink by ordering a “Hoops for the Cure” T-shirt. The t-shirst will be $10 and will need to be ordered by Wednesday, Feburary 1. Wearing your t-shirt to the game will get you in for free. There will be 50/50 raffles, a bake sale and all proceeds from the t-shit sales and cash donations will go to the Provena Regional Cancer Center. Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police Report for January 27, 2012

On Janaury 26, the Iroquois Couinty Sheriff’s Office and the Milford Police Department assisted the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Office, the Vermilion Metroplitan Enforcement Group and the FBI in arresting Michael A. Rogers, age 25, of East Lynn, IL.

Arena Introduces Fitness Skating Program

Beginning Monday, January 30, the David S. Palmer Arena will be open from noon to 1:30 P.M. for open skating for adults only. The program is intended as a fitness initiative creating an opportunity for people to come and work out over their lunch hour. The program is geared at Adults 18 and over. The cost fpr the program is $2 per day which includes skate rental. For further infromation please contact Peter Blackmon at 217-431-2424.

Friends of Mark Donely Benefit

On Feburary 11, the Artistic Repertory Theatre will be hosting a benefit for Mark Donely and Friends from 1 P.M. to 12 A.M at the McFerren Park Civic Center.
